  1. Thank you for posting something that is recent and concurrent with today's social problems. even on our own land Malaysia we are slowly losing our eastern values and facing problems that we once thought were taboo!

i think a few ways to minimize teenage pregnancy is to have sex education in schools, teach them how their biological body works, to protect themselves against unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases .

another way is to simply advice gently using motivation and a dash of religion values. Teenagers are easily influenced by peer pressure making them very vulnerable but it also makes them more receptive to advice given by somebody respected. so be a respected teacher in their eyes and they would eventually pay attention to what you are saying and probably have a mental block against other sex-media influences =)

  4. Sex education is really good as it enables the youngsters to know how to protects themselves. Besides that, the role of parents is also important since they are the closest people in our lives, they should tell the youngster how to protect themselves to avoid any regret in the future. It is a tough period if the youngster become a mother in her young age as she still not ready to show love to the new life.

  5. in my opinion, sex education is quite taboo in our society. even though there are so many times an issue about implementing sex education in school being discussed, government still cannot confirm whether to implement it or not. in my opinion, sex education is good to give the education to the teenagers on how to protect themselves. if we can decrease this social problems, it is mean that we also contribute to our sustainability concept. for example, we save our country economy from being decrease. if there are a lot of youngster who are pregnant, our government will need to do a campaign, provide shelter for them, pay a payment for counselors to counsel them as practice nowadays in "Sekolah Harapan" in Melaka. All these need money to do it. actually, if we care, we will think before we do something bad. - zureza-

  6. Yes, due to the ignorance of these young girls, there were so many innocent lives killed. Even we do not have sex education as a subject in school now, but as a teacher, we still have the responsibility of educating our students about the importance of knowing their own body and how to protect themselves from being a victim of teenage pregnancy.
